Active Release
Active Release Technique (ART, also called Active Release Technique) is a soft tissue stretch-movement-based technique. It is used to treat problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves.
Specific conditions that can be treated with ART include headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome other peripheral nerve entrapments, shin splints, sciatica, TMJ, plantar fasciitis, tendinitis and other soft tissue disorders of the body.
The goal of ART is to restore the smooth movement of muscles and ligaments or to release entrapments of myofascial, ligamentous and or neurological tissues.
This Richmond based Steveston Chiropactic office has been using this technique successfully for many years.
Dr. Peters is certified in Active Release Technique.
